Nursing advocacy plays a crucial role in promoting patient rights and safety in the emergency room (ER) setting. This review article aims to explore the significance of nursing advocacy in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and their rights are upheld in the fast-paced and often stressful environment of the ER. The review will examine the various ways in which nurses act as advocates for patients, including communicating patient concerns to the healthcare team, ensuring informed consent, and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
